Bonnie S. Drake is President of District 10, Wayne and Lackawanna Counties. She is a member of the Hogencamp-Schupper, Post 531, in Honesdale, PA. She joined the Auxiliary 9/23/1989, under the eligibility of her husband, Lloyd A. Drake, Jr., and Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Her family includes her husband, Lloyd, her daughter, Brittany Drake, her step-daughter, Lisa Bentler, her son, Tanner Drake, and her step-sons, Daniel Drake and Hoi Lee Drake. Her hobbies include, human videos, hunting, fishing, playing pool, umpiring, and playing softball. She became curious about the VFW, when she saw signs in her town. She later was able to join the Auxiliary, after she married her husband. She is passionate about our Veterans and loves what the VFW Auxiliary stands for and does. Her favorite Auxiliary Program is Membership, as she loves finding new or previous members and ignite the spark about our organization. She also loves participating in Buddy Poppy Drives and Fundraisers, where she can meet new people and potential members. She would like everyone to remember: "Your life is a story; write well; edit often!” She feels it is an honor to serve her District, our Veterans, their families, and her communities.
