Kathleen (Kathy) Altoff is the Past Auxiliary President for District 21, Adams/Franklin/York Counties. She retired with over 34 years of service from the Department of Defense, Mechanicsburg Depot. She is a member of Private Allen J Beck, Jr. VFW Auxiliary, Post 5265, in Spring Grove, PA. She currently is their 3yr Trustee and Patriotic Instructor. She joined our organization in 1982, giving her over 42 years as a member this year. Kathy joined under the eligibility of her father, Donald, who was a Korean Veteran in the Navy.  She lives with her husband, Laurence (Larry) who is a Vietnam Veteran of the Marine Corps, and they have been married since 1991. In her spare time, she enjoys singing in the choir at her church, playing cards (500), flower arranging, and reading. She is also an Auxiliary member of American Legion Post 321 and FOE Eagles Aerie 2226, both in Littlestown, PA. She loves that the Auxiliary honors Veterans and helps those in our community. She also likes forming new friendships and the lasting ones that she has developed through the Auxiliary. She is the Department Chairman for the Extension, Revitalization and Mentoring Program for 2024-2025. The program this year has 3 parts, where previously it was 2 separate programs.  The program is designed to assist Auxiliaries with some of the lastest ideas that will be introduced to help support you, your members and your Auxiliaries.
